Stourbridge Company of Archers

Coming up...

Club members will have had an email detailing the procedures for shooting at the field; basically, contact Bob to book a slot. We will review the advice from Archery GB as it develops and respond accordingly.
In the meantime, we are taking WA 60m scores to contribute to the CWAA September Challenge.

Derek Peacock Memorial Shoot - 2-way Western, longbows only - date TBC

Droitwich-SCoA Clout - Sun 11 Oct

Our next beginners' courses have been cancelled because of the Coronavirus outbreak, but we are taking a few beginners on a socially-distanced one-to-one basis.

Stourbridge Company of Archers was formed in 1956. The main discipline of the club is target archery, though some of its members also regularly participate in field, clout and roving marks. Members shoot recurve, compound and longbow.

Our home ground is at the Somers Sports and Social Club in Halesowen where outdoor practice, club and open shoots are held. Indoor shooting during the winter takes place at Waseley Hills High School in Rednal.

Beginnerís courses are held each year over a 6-week period from late April to mid-June. For a modest fee to cover the provision of equipment and insurance, you can have a detailed, safe and, we hope, enjoyable introduction to the sport of Archery. For queries about courses and to get on our mailing list contact us at but please read our this page first.

Experienced archers wishing to join us, either from another club, or coming back into the sport after an absence should contact us using the link above. We will probably need to arrange a shooting assessment to confirm that you know how to shoot safely.
